Adapting During Crisis

WE ARE OPEN AND READY TO SERVE

In response to our area's status under the guidelines from Illinois' government responding to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Gruber Law Office remains available to respond to those who need assistance planning for their families. We are open to help you weather this time of extreme uncertainty and to answer your urgent questions without risk to your health and well-being.

As an estate planning and elder law firm, we have focused for more than 40 years on helping families prepare for unexpected and sometimes unfortunate events. This public health crisis qualifies as both unexpected and unfortunate. It has made many of us feel more aware that every person is mortal and potentially vulnerable. In recognition, some are now finding it more urgent to build the peace of mind that only good planning can provide for ourselves and our families.

Right now, assisting with this kind of planning has required changes in our operations. Here are some ways we have found to allow us to carry out our mission in these difficult times.

Our Office and Staff

Because it is a separate part of her home, attorney Patricia T. Gruber continues to work full time in person at our office. Although our non-resident staff members are currently working remotely much of the week, we are all available to help you build your plan and get that plan in place. Phones have become a little tricky with our remote capabilities, so when you call it will initially be answered electronically. You may press 0 at any time. It will connect you to one of us if we are available, or to our voicemail if none of us can answer right then.  Please be sure to leave a message. We will get back to you just as soon as we can.

At our office, we are following every precaution advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including wearing masks, keeping socially distant throughout all meetings, washing hands frequently, and sanitizing our conference and waiting room furniture, pens, door knobs, and other touchable surfaces and items before and after every visitor. We require masks to be worn by our staff, clients, and visitors.

Our law office assists families in Plainfield, IL and the surrounding areas, including Joliet, Naperville, Aurora, Bolingbrook, Channahon, Crest Hill, Lockport, Minooka, Oswego, Romeoville, Shorewood, and Yorkville, in Will County, DuPage County, Kendall County, and Kane County.
