Adapting During Crisis

In response to the Stay at Home Order from Illinois' government due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Gruber Law Office is available to respond to those who need assistance planning for their families. We are open to help you weather this time of extreme uncertainty and to answer your urgent questions.

Right now, doing this has required changes. In the past, getting to know our clients was usually an office meeting. We are now prepared and happy to meet face-to-face through online video meetings using computers, phones, or other mobile devices, minimizing exposure risks and maintaining social distancing. We are confident that we can find ways to make our meetings with you meaningful even if you do not think of yourself as up-to-date on technology. We will find ways to accommodate to make good connection with you possible.

At our office, we are taking every precaution advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including keeping socially distant, washing hands frequently, and sanitizing our conference and waiting room furniture, pens, door knobs, and other touchable surfaces and items before and after every visitor.

Because it is a separate part of her home, attorney Patricia Gruber continues to work in person at our office. Although most of our non-resident staff members are currently mostly working remotely, our entire staff is available to help you build your plan and get that plan in place.

As an estate planning and elder law firm, we have focused for more than 40 years on helping families prepare for unexpected and sometimes unfortunate events. This public health crisis qualifies as both unexpected and unfortunate. It has made many of us feel more aware that every person is mortal and potentially vulnerable. So many are now finding it more urgent to build the peace of mind that only good planning can provide for ourselves and our families.

Our law office assists families in Plainfield, IL and the surrounding areas, including Joliet, Naperville, Aurora, Bolingbrook, Channahon, Crest Hill, Lockport, Minooka, Oswego, Romeoville, Shorewood, and Yorkville, in Will County, DuPage County, Kendall County, and Kane County.
